My Day Off

Chester loves his Poptart!
Chester loves his Poptart!

Last night, I bought some craft felt and sewed a felt Pop-tart for Chester.  Inside you’ll find wool, bits of a plastic bag, and of course, catnip, all of which are his FAVORITE things.  It was like ultra-kitty last night.  I have never seen such a hyper, buzzed-out cat before and it was awesome.  He was in love with that Pop-tart.  I eventually had to put it up high where he couldn’t reach it, for his and our sake.

Now that it’s spring, I don’t seem to have much to write about, hence all the posts about my cat 😉  In the warmer months, when spirits are a little higher and everyone seems a little healthier, it’s like I’m a completely different person.  My OCD is manageable and is limited to house cleaning/car cleaning.  I am hardly ever worried about getting ill.  This is the reason why I want to move somewhere that has no seasons.  I honestly don’t care where, as long as winter and fall stay away for good.  I know that people get sick anywhere at any time, but for me, this is definitely a psychological phenomenon.  I feel safer outside and away from people, which is why I like being in nature so much, taking walks and photographing random things, something that’s far less enjoyable when it’s cold and dark outside.  Overall, I’m generally happy when it’s warm outside.

After today, I have a three day weekend because of Memorial Day.  I’m super excited about this, but I have no idea what I’m going to do on my day off.  As I’ve mentioned before, I get bored easily.  Don’t get me wrong, I love having days off, but if I don’t live those off days to the max, meaning I fill every minute with some activity, then I feel bored and like I’ve accomplished little the entire day, which might not even be true.  As silly as it might sound, I’m actually worried that I won’t have much to do on Monday.  It’s a vacation!  I’m not supposed to do much, but that is my curse.

Another Chester pic ;) We had a photo shoot...

In hopes of not being bored on Monday, I did something a little different for this post.  I created a survey!  It’s just for fun, hence the “just for fun” category, and something that might help me to get to know you all better and to potentially find things to do for my time off.

Here’s the survey link Survey!

I’d love it if you’d take it!  It would mean a lot to me and it would be kind of fun, I guess, or maybe just not that fun.  😉

Thanks for reading/taking the survey!

  1. I know how you feel about days off. I’m an extrovert and don’t do well hanging around the house by myself. If I’ve got a day off by myself, I tend to spend the day walking around the shops – not necessarily buying things, just looking around, being out, having a nice lunch etc.

    1. I hate feeling like I don’t have enough to do on my days off, so I kind of know what you are talking about. My days off are often more work than my days on 🙂

    1. You have a very keen eye 🙂 I did change the look of my site. I took the picture of the magnolia flower this spring. it’s one of my favorites

  2. Hi Megan!
I have just gotten to a few of the oldie posts & here is 1 of them you are seeing. You do a great job of getting my attention all the time. I have really gotten far behind now. I am quite thankful for this post of yours. I think it is really great! I have once or twice thought about moving where it is warm too. The cold weather seems to get to my lower shin & just make it hurt a lot. Have been working & getting things taken care of for all my viewers to see. It is the health pdf that I have been working on for so long. I have also got another blog going just on health. Hope you will follow it because this will be where my pdf will be sitting for all to see. Thanks & have a great day!
