  1. Hi Megan

    Beautiful photo of Chester!!

You probably already know this but I thought I’d tell you just in case you don’t.

Cats communicate a lot with body language. When they look at you like Chester is in the photo they are telling you how much they love you.

They close their eyes for a long time while still looking at you (like a really long blink). It’s beautiful to sit across the room from a beloved cat and have an entire conversation about how special you are to each other without opening your mouth.

    1. Hi dear 🙂

Thank you for saying that. I learned much of that from the show My Cat From Hell, but prior to that I guess I kind of just knew. Sometimes when I’m holding him he’ll do the slow blink thing and then fall asleep in my arms. He’s such a sweetheart and so loving to everyone. He does have a feisty side with my boyfriend, but they still have cuddle moments too 🙂

      1. Hey I’ve just come up with this new theory. Love to know what you think.

Maybe people who have mental illnesses also have the gift of “just knowing” when it comes to animals. I’d never met others who “just knew” before and yet so far everyone I’ve met with a mental illness does.
