It’s A Chester Bee!

DSC_0727_2I live next to a Target and tend to go there a lot for small things. It’s the closest place to my home that has just about everything I need, and even more things that I don’t.  Anyway, they had a huge Halloween section for weeks up until Halloween.  I knew that right after Halloween, like all holidays, the Halloween things would be on sale.  They had the cutest pet costumes!  I was going to buy one for Chester, but wasn’t going to pay the $10 for it, since I knew that he wasn’t going to wear it long.  I went back the day after Halloween and everything was half off!  I got the bee costume for Chester 😀  He was so cute.  K even had fun with the kitty photo shoot.

The antennae didn't stay on long. He's so crafty...

Look at his little tiny paws!

And here’s the back of it:

He’s so cute 🙂 The wings light up.

Also, the crocheting has been going great!  I just finished my first scarf today 🙂 Here it is:

And here’s a picture of it rolled out a bit:

I’m going to work on more and gift them for Christmas 🙂  I think my neighbor would like one. I hope at least.

Well, I’m off to clean the house! I’m off today and this is what I do on my days off 😀

Thank you for reading!

  1. I cannot believe you put him in a costume! If he starts looking at you like he’s plotting something, be afraid. LOL.

I think the scarf looks great. I am really into Celic patterns, but I have absolutely no patience for anything, so I bought a Celtic sweater from Ireland one year for the Rose of Tralee festival and about a year or so ago I scored an inexpensive Celtic knot scarf in a taupe/beige that I try to remember to wear during the winter, even though it doesn’t match my fancy coat. Actually, it doesn’t match any of my coats, but it was inexpensive. I’m a better craft painter than I am anything else in terms of craftyness. Jewelry design is something I am planning on taking on as a creative side job within the next year or so.

  2. Loved this post. It was so cheery and uplifting. Cute Chester in the costume. Nice scarf you made, too. Certainly will make a very nice gift especially with winter coming up! Take care. Sincerely, Connie

  3. The daughter of one of my patients has been coming in every other day to see her mum and the whole time that she sits with her she crochets – super inspiring because it’s almost always something different.
The bee costume is soooooo cute!! 😀
Can’t wait to see the next cute costume you will no doubt find for him 😉

  4. Wish I could convince my Usako to let me dress her up, but I have too much respect for her claws. Chester looks annoyed int he first picture, but then he’s kind of ‘meh, I don’t care anymore’ in the last.

  5. I think I might have gotten clawed to death if I did that to my Thumper. Chester looks so cute though!!! How long did he leave the antenna on? The scarf looks great!!! 🙂
