Christmas Shopping Is Finished!

DSC_0052

Can you believe I got all of this for just $10?  That’s the magic of the Dollar Tree.  Only place I ever buy gift bags and gift wrap.

I was planning on doing my last bit of Christmas shopping tomorrow, but instead buckled down and went tonight.  It was still busy, but I suspect it was a lot less busy than it will be tomorrow I’m sure.

I hate going to stores by myself.  I really, really dread it.  It’s anxiety central for me.  I rarely touch carts when I do go shopping, but I had no choice tonight.  Moving around people bothers me.  It was strangely very warm today, like 60 degrees, so I failed to realize that I didn’t need to wear a sweater and fleece pullover.  I did and it was hot and my hands were sweating on the nasty shopping cart and my glasses were sliding off my sweaty face.  These are two gross sensations in an already uncomfortable shopping experience.

I finished it all in two hours.  I was really proud of myself.  I even went to Petsmart and bought seafood flavored Greenies for Chester 🙂  He loves Greenies.

Even though this was a bit uncomfortable, I’m so glad I did it because I can have a relaxing, stress free rest of the weekend 🙂

Thanks for reading!

  1. Well done Megan. I too know that great feeling of pushing yourself to get jobs done and then the relief at freeing up a whole day or more for relaxing or whatever you feel like!

  2. Have you thought of wearing cotton gloves when you go shopping? You can wash them after, I’ve seen them here in the same isle as the washing up gloves.
Totally get your anxiety about crowded shopping centers. I did my shopping on line. Didn’t want to go into the toy section this time of year.

  3. I am not sure what the weather is like up there but we are having torrential rain so I’m staying in today, glad you are all done that’s such a good feeling but not as good as watching people open the gifts. Have a nice weekend give Chester a hug for me.

What are your experiences?
