Lovely Blooms

Finally, it was such a beautiful weekend!  I had so much fun just going outside and taking pictures of the trees in bloom and pretty much every flower I could find.  These are a few of my best shots that I just had to share with everyone.

The first is of the magnolia tree near my apartment.  It’s so pretty this time of year, but the blooms don’t last long at all, so I had to hurry and take  a picture of it before they all fell off.

Closeup of the magnolia tree.

This tree was really pretty too.  I forgot what it’s called, but I think it’s a dogwood tree. Correct me if I’m wrong!

This bloom was from the same tree.  I thought this picture came out really well.

Of course, I had to include a daffodil 🙂

These were pretty too.  Not sure what they are though.

I opened the windows and screen door and Chester was looking at them all day. He loves this time of year too for that reason 🙂

Last night, I guess I was going through some kind of weird phase and up and decided that I was going to dye my hair red.  It didn’t take in some spots and it was really, really red.  I hated that the ends weren’t dyed well, so I went to get my hair that was like 5 inches past my shoulders, cut at my usual salon. I haven’t gone to the salon for about a year, so I was nervous, especially with my superhero-red hair.  Here’s the after shot:

I guess it turned out well actually.  The color looks fine now that it’s cut in a cute way 🙂

Well, that’s all for today!

Hope you have a great weekend 😀

  1. See what a beautiful day will do? Or is it the change of hair color? all I know, the good weather is pretty awesome! I love the photos and new-do!!

  2. I’m pretty sure those purply-blue flowers are Irises. 🙂

I think you look cute with the red hair! And I love the pic of Chester’s back while he’s staring out the window.

    1. They are definitely irises 🙂 They were so tiny at the time I didn’t recognize them! Thank you 🙂 I love that picture of Chester too. He looks strangely human in it.

  3. loving the photos. magnolias are so beautiful! i miss seeing them up here. the red hair is great! i luv me some color in hair too. next time maybe you’ll try purple like me?

  4. Love your photos and a little envious of your having such beautiful blossoms. In Alaska, we are still having winter and snow. It will be some time before our trees blossom. One good thing is it happens quickly. By the way, your hair looks great!

      1. Our weather has finally turned and gotten warmer into the mid forties. It has turned many of the streets into swimming pools as the drains and ground is still frozen. It will be about 6 weeks or more before we see any blossoms. But the sun shines bright and shimmers on the melting snow that has accumulated all winter!

  5. Your blossom and flower photos are beautiful, Chester is handsome as usual, and you are so adventurous with your hair!! I am bald from chemo right now, so I am jealous of that super-hero red hair. It looks wonderful!

    1. Chester is quite the doll baby. I should be more appreciative of my hair. One little accident, but I’ve gotten a lot of compliments. Thanks for reminding me of that 🙂 very kind of you.
