[Review] Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer #3 Transparent Nymph

I was pretty excited to try the Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer because I am always looking for having that dewy glow when it comes to makeup. I never want to have cakey-looking makeup and having skin that tends to be on the dry-side, that is something that I sometimes struggle with. I also lean toward Korean makeup-trends and dewy is definitely a Korean makeup trend right now.

Etude House claims that the Nymph Aura Volumer will add “skin radiance and glow with plumped up moisture”. I got this directly from the site description.

There are a couple of choices in #3 transparent and a nameless #4, which to me looks a bit more of a nude color.

How to Use the Volumer:

To me, Volumer is a good descriptor because this product adds volume to your BB cream and foundation. Etude House recommends that you add one pump of Volumer to two pumps of BB cream and mix them together. I usually wing it though, depending on how much BB cream I want to wear on a given day. I usually end up using about half a pump of Volumer with my BB cream. Then, you just apply your BB/foundation like usual.

You can even use this as a liquid highlighter if you’d like.

Consistency:

The consistency is medium, not too watery and not too thick. It definitely thins out the BB, which gives it a bit less coverage, but adds to that dewy glow.

Packaging:

The packaging is pretty, which is expected of Etude House products. The container is white and has a pearly glow to it. It’s really lovely and comes in a hygienic pump, which measures out product pretty easily.

Effect:

The Volumer does what it says if you use enough of it. I’ve found if my ratio is off, I don’t see as much of a dewy glow as I would like. It seems I have to use a lot off BB cream and a lot of Volumer to get the glow that I’m looking for.  When I do it right, however, I love the glow of my skin. It’s very dewy and youthful.

Price:

I bought the Volumer on Amazon for about $15.00 with free shipping. You can also get it from Etude House global for about the same, but shipping is not free. You can get it at Jolse.com for $16.18 with free shipping worldwide.

My Take:

I think that the Etude House Nymph Aura Volumer is certainly a unique product and was something fun to add to my makeup collection. Overall, I give this product a 4/5.

  1. Hi Megan,
This is my first comment in your blog. I found your blog just a while ago and get excited with some of your make up review.
Talking about dewy make up, I also prefer the dewy looks. However, I found that I can achieve it with using some products before applying my Etude BB Cream Cotton Fit (Yes, even when I use the Cotton Fit). I’m using a set of Hada Labo Shirojyun (a Japanese brand) and that includes a washing foam, a toner, and a milk. If I apply all of it, my skin got very very very hydrated. It’s practically glowing, even if I put on the BB Cream. The BB Cream coverager will be more than better to. So I guess I achieve the dewy look even without trying.
Yep, just a two cents from me. And… Please, say hello to Chester. ♡

    1. Thanks for the suggestions! I have no heard of Hada Labo Shirojyun, but I will take a look. The Cotton Fit is a nice BB cream too, I’ve tried a sample of it before. Glad to know you like the dewy look as well!

  2. I love Amazon! Such a great place to buy things and, with Prime, I don’t pay shipping a lot of the time. I usually make enough on shipping savings to cover the Prime cost, then I still get to watch so many movies free!
Yeah, they didn’t pay me to say this either! lol

      1. I stayed a prime member because I order most of my supplements from Amazon along with a good number of other items. I make my money back on that, then get to watch the movies for free.
