I Love Early Mornings

These are my new shoes 🙂 I’m still working on breaking them in.

I finally broke down and got a gym membership.  I don’t know why I was hesitating so long to do this, but I’m so glad I did.  I’ve been going to Planet Fitness and it’s wonderful.  I really do like their policies and mission and feel really comfortable working out there.  I’ve been going before work and I just love early morning. There’s a certain feel and smell to early mornings that gets me energized.  I’m just happy to be able to run in a place that’s safe for me to be alone and to give my  heart some exercise. I have a constant worry of heart disease.  All 4 of my grandparents had it and my maternal grandmother passed away last year from congestive heart failure.

Running in the early morning really helps me to set up a positive energy for the rest of my day.  I’m definitely a morning person.

So far, I’m really happy with my decision and look forward to a better looking, and healthier me 🙂

  1. Early mornings are amazing once you’re out of bed and awake! Working out first thing in the morning makes my WHOLE day better. It feels great! Heart disease runs in my family, too, so it’s especially important for us to stay active. Keep it up!

  2. You got a gym membership? That’s great! I know how much the idea of that used to, for lack of better words, freak you out. That’s a huge step. Working out is so fulfilling, especially in the early mornings. Enjoy!

  3. I’ve been considering a gym membership recently because I just get so stressed trying to run or skate outdoors, even after dark. Once things settle down I’m hoping to find a gym with a nice pool. Did you get a personal trainer or did they just show you how to use stuff then leave you to it? I always worry about signing up to things and I’ve never been in a gym but they sound so convenient!

    1. I just didn’t feel safe enough to walk/run outside alone, so i got the gym membership. Each machine has instructions on how to use it and I’ve been to gyms before, so it was nothing for me to worry about. You should give one a try! They are so convenient.

  4. I wish I had the energy early in the morning, or anytime for that matter. I go to planet fitness as well probably 3x a week and still feel exhausted all the time. Good for you for taking this step toward better health

    1. If I didn’t do it in the morning, I’d never do it. I hate spending my evenings working out haha. Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement 🙂

  5. That is great. I love early mornings too. I play basketball in the morning before or after breakfast. Then I can chill the rest of the day as I got the exercise in. I’ve lost 7 pounds already in a brief period. I am at 249 now since being Diabetic the lowest weight I ever made was 242 so if I match or get below that will be a big accomplishment for me and of course better my healthy greatly.
