Étude House Pink Bird Box August 2015

Hello everyone!

I just received the August 2015 Etude House Pink Bird box in the mail this Saturday and am very excited to share this month’s goodies with you.  If you are new to Korean beauty products, I recommend Etude House because they make, in my experience, some of the best Korean beauty products out there.  There are some great makeup items in this month’s box.  Here are the contents of the box:As usual, Etude House included information sheets describing some of the new products in this month’s box.  I love that sticker seal 🙂
Here’s the information sheet describing the new Etude House Dear Darling Water Tint in all of its various shades.    Here’s the information sheet on the four new shades of the Bling Bling Eye Stick.
First up, I’m going to discuss the Dear Darling Water Tint in #03 Orange Ade.  It also comes in Strawberry Ade and Cherry Ade.  The names sound so tasty!  The bottle is a sturdy glass and is a fairly decent size for a lip product.  I held it in my hand, so that you can have some reference of the size.  I couldn’t find the size, but I think it’s about 10 ml.
The cap of this Etude House Dear Darling Water Tint just twists off and on the inside is a fuzzy applicator brush.  As you can see, the tint is very watery, so it holds true to its name.  Be careful when opening, so that you don’t spill it!I found that this is a tint that is certainly watery, but that means you don’t need a lot to get the effect that you are looking for. It spreads easily and stains the skin really well, which is something I look for in a tint in terms of wear time.  As with most true lip tints, this one is a bit drying, but the minerals from the pomegranate and grapefruit help keep the lips looking hydrated.
Here’s the tint as it settles and dries: It’s really subtle, yet pretty.   Unfortunately, I couldn’t link to the Dear Darling Water Tint on the Etude House Global site, but you can find all of their other Etude House lip tints here.  They are some of my favorite tints to use.

Etude House also sent me their four new Bling Bling Eye Stick shades.  I have never tried any of the Etude House Bling Bling Eye Sticks, but I have really wanted to try them out.  I am a big fan of eye shadow sticks because of the ease of application and for their creaminess.  They are so convenient and easy to use.  I have other eyeshadow sticks from different brands, but these are my first eye shadow sticks from Etude House.

The 4 new shades are really beautiful and remind me of the colors in rose gold jewelry.  The backs of the Bling Bling Eye Sticks indicate the number and name of each shade.

Lt to Rt: (#11) Rose Star, (#12) Sunset Star, (#13) Sunbeam Star, (#14) Starry Sky Star

The bottom of the Bling Bling Eye Sticks is clear, so that you can easily see the color inside.  I thought that was the top at first 🙂 Here is the swatch I did for each of the colors in order of their shade number.
The Bling Bling Eye Sticks apply so smoothly and the colors are beautiful and they are all subtly shimmery.  It is difficult for me to say which shade I like best, but I’d have to say that the second shade on my arm, #12 Sunset Star, is my favorite. It’s not quite pink and not quite gold, but somewhere in between.  I’m a huge fan of rose gold anything and this particular shade reminds me of that.

Finally, Etude House also sent me this bag of samples 🙂
There were some new product samples in this month’s box.  Etude House is starting a new line of men’s skincare.  Etude House men’s skincare line was previously limited, but I’m happy to see they are coming out with a new line.  I know K can’t wait to try these out when he gets back from Korea!  This particular line is called the Gentle Black line.  This sample is of the entire line, which includes a cleansing foam, toner, emulsion (moisturizer), and all in one fluid, which I’m not totally sure what it does.
They also sent me some samples from their AC Clinic Line and the Tea Tree I need You Mask sheet.  I love mask sheets and can’t wait to try this because I use tea tree in many skincare products as well as in my shampoo.
They also sent me two sample bottles of the AC Clinic Daily Toner and AC Clinic Daily Gel Lotion.  These smell great and I can’t wait to try them! I’ve heard so many good things about the Etude House AC Clinic Line
As usual, this month’s Etude House Pink Bird Box was wonderful. I love the eyeshadow sticks and can’t wait to try out some of the samples and the sheet mask!
